The Club has a total of 11 lawns including 3 newly relaid lawns opened in the 2002 season.  A sizeable new practice area was laid at the same time all of which makes Cheltenham the largest croquet club in the country.

The much missed ‘Bridge Room’ in the centre of the Club grounds has been replaced with 2 purpose built viewing rooms with all round aspects over the lawns. There are also several other chalets around the lawns for shade and shelter during play.

The Club uses Dawson balls throughout and has all the other equipment required for play including a wide range of mallets for visitors and members alike to try.

The clubhouse and tearoom are the original traditional, timber lined pavilions. The main pavilion has changing rooms for both men and women. There is also a well stocked bar which is available to members and their guests. Its walls, along with those of the adjacent tearoom, are lined with trophy boards listing 100 years of achievement in every class of the game.

Cheltenham is legendary, the length and breadth of the croquet world at least, for the excellence of its tournament catering. In recent years over 1100 meals have been have been prepared and enjoyed in our historic tearoom during each season. Even as far back as 1951 it is recorded that one club member prepared some 800 meals during one week’s tournament!

If all this croquet, drinking and eating isn’t enough to occupy the time, there’s always cards! The Club has active weekly bridge sessions throughout the year
and an annual bridge croquet tournament.
